Why on earth the road safety trucks pulled out onto a highway with people doing between 100km to 110km an hr beats me when as stated by others could have driven the emergency lane to the on-ramp and entered the highway at the correct speed. Should be made to answer why that did what they did there. Stupid move
The trucks on the M1 drive like maniacs. They do not slow down and use there size to push you out of there way with there speed. I am always recording them sitting so close up the back end of my car doing the speed limit and they would have no chance of stopping if need be. It infuriates me how irresponsible they are on our roads.
I am curious how people think this was at all caused by the attenuator truck, the truck was driving in the lane and doing as was supposed to, you can even see the giant flashing arrow. The mud carter was going well over speed and not paying attention, there is only one person at fault here and it is certainly not the attenuator truck.
What was the tipper driver doing juuust before impact? Also, those complaining about us truck drivers being ‘maniacs’ on the M1.. Trucks with a total weight capacity (GVM) of 12+ tonne are limited (electronically) to 99-100kph.. A lot of us are running log books and have time requirements to meet. When cars are travelling at 95-97ish in the only 2 lanes we’re allowed to use, it’s pretty damn frustrating. Not an excuse for poor behaviour but it’s fact.
Typical truck driver thinking they own the road and sit so close to others and not abiding the speed limits and surroundings, in my understanding trucks a supposed to do 10km under the actual speed limit as it takes that much longer for a truck to slow in comparison to a car but I never see trucks doing less then any cars most doing more or same as cars
It amuses me to read these comments especially from expert car drivers . As a truck driver myself doing mostly metro work it is astounding to see many times on a daily basis the poor driving skills of so many . You cut in front of us , You can't drove in your own lane and need to use some of ours .You are all over the place or stationary at a green light because you are playing with your phone and woman are the worst .The amount I see doing this is staggering .Not to mention some of the crazy lane changing manoeuvres just because you can't stand following a truck Then there are all the ones travelling below the posted speed limit because the calibration of their speedometer is incorrect and they say the trucks are speeding People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
Driver was obviously looking at his……….. drum roll …….. phukn phone. I’m a truck driver and the amount of drivers I witness having to have that constant and rediculous need to be in contact with someone or look at unimportant shit on their death causing phones while driving is frightening. Also, a professional truck driver if he/she is trained properly, will be watching what is unfolding far down the road in front of them as well as being aware of what is also going on around them to avoid these tragedies. I did a stint with Cootes Transport delivering LPG around the state in SA a few years ago now. when you see the potential total devastation of up to 500 metre radius around a gas tanker if it gets ruptured and explodes, you really really realise the importance of road safety and awareness around you. That tanker was obviously not a flammable gas tanker thank god for all around that incident. 😡
Its NOT a Gravel Truck. ITS A MUD RUNNER. truck & dog trailer. Or i say 2 dogs. Those bastrds r always speeding, cutting people off, running red lights disobeying ALL road rules. THEY ARE NOT TRUCK DRIVERS. I drive my 2 trucks in greater Sydney & always see their distain for ALL other road users.
I reckon there was a bicycle rider that started all this...
So why didnt they continue up the emergency lane then use the merging lane to get up to speed to merge safety with traffic
The Tipper Truck Driver behind the tanker truck not paying attention of whats happening ahead of him an around him traffics slowed down because of Traffic management in lane one an on ramp traffic emerging on to the m1 scan ahead adjust speed he would of went pass a traffic management roady 80km then 400 meter from that sigh another traffic management roady 60km with a lane stat shown the truck driver what lane is closed alot of factors to look at main thing no one was killed jus the tipper truck drivers wallet and pride
There you go Andrew and clearly the trucks fault who crashed seeing as the tanker infront of him and everyone else had safely dropped in speed. He woudlnt of been paying attention
Bump truck should be held accountable!…. Families could have been killed and many more lives lost from an unnecessary move when they could have moved up the shoulder to the on-ramp and entered safely! 🤬🤬
my conclusion the truck was tailgating and not paying attention. Pretty normal on the freeways
Road safty truck to blame for that mess
Thats what happens when people don't pay attention to the road and traffic around them.
Wondering if the same people putting down truck drivers are the same people expecting us to block the highways to protect their rights?
Cowboy Dirt-truck driver; thinks he's in a race.
This is an incident response team doing what they do...picking up broken down/abandoned vehicles off the side of the freeway...I do this for a living...they did EXACTLY what they are supposed to do... Wait for a bigger enough gap,TMA out first then tow Totally the truck n dog driver at fault
Typical Tipper not watching the road and driving to close. I'm not on the road much but this is my experience when I am.
So fortunate the speeding truck driver hit another truck. Very different outcome if it had been a car.
Another reason to leave a safe distance in front of you... But no one bloody does it
Roadside Towing it wouldn’t had exploded as it was refrigerated CO2 as it’s not flammable it’s in the tank at -24.
Be packing myself if I was the white car and saw that. Any car really, Are they all ok.
And people still think it’s best to push the trucks into the slow/merging lane..? 😑
